Stories of Light by Maryam Mehded Sinclair are excellent for the imagination as well as building vocabulary and language skills. They are also a wonderful tool for learning about Islamic stories in a fun and exciting way, appealing to both children and adults.
The one we are currently listening to is about Musa (Upon him be peace).

Bubbles, Rainbows and Worms..
We are using the book Rainbows, Bubbles and Worms to learn all things science.
One of the experiments we did from this which the children loved was learning about static electricity using a balloon.

Miraj Audio Books..
Miraj Audio Books are a good way of keeping children entertained whilst one completes daily chores/ tasks. The stories have the option of being without music which is great as many Muslims believe that musical instruments are not permissible in Islam.
The sad camel is available for free.
Marble Painting..
I recall doing marble painting as a preschooler. Always lots of fun for the children! All that is required is a cardboard box that is cut to size, paper, paint and some marbles!
The Ladybird Keywords Series..
I personally learnt how to read at school using the oxford reading tree series. However I have found that Mr A seems to enjoy the Peter and Jane books by Ladybird. I love the format of these books and their simplicity whilst still enabling the child to develop their reading skills after each book. I am therefore planning on purchasing the entire set.
Flash Cards..
I ordered these Flash Cards from amazon to help Mr A learn high frequency words as well as common words and they seem to be helping. I would definitely recommend them.
Here they are all over our kitchen..

As you can see there are a couple of additional cards we made to help us read the next book more easily. This is an idea recommended in The Well Trained Mind which suggests doing a flash card drill for words that will appear in the next book. This puts their learning into practice straight away and is much more effective than learning flash cards simply for the sake of learning flash cards!
